Sometimes the studio is right.
PS. One of the other reasons is a lot of filmmakers are idiots. Listen to Tim Burton try to explain the end of "Planet of the Apes" if you don't believe me.
The only extra I've enjoyed so far was on the Beastie Boys video compilation, the voice track of the three guys themselves. At one point they get sidetracked discussing whose idea it was to have a girl with a whip in "Hey Ladies," and finally remember what they're doing and spend a few seconds trying to figure out what video they're watching.
INC's video/cable recommendation of the month: The Lost Son. Daniel Auteil (L_K's favorite), Nastassia Kinski (rowr), Katrin Cartlidge (RIP), and a great story about friendship, loyalty, and the child prostitute trade. If you like Chandler, Ellroy, and noir in general, you'll dig this one. |
