You know what would have done that? No fucking sequels.
Machines build a time machine, send back a robot, humans steal it, send back a human to stop the robot, destroy time machine, human destroys robot, human dies, the end.
IT'S A PARADOX! What's funny is, that given time travel is possible, that there's only one timeline, a KUMPYOOTER should realize that if John Connor is still alive in the future-present, that there's nothing they could do to kill him. Plus, why not go forward in time to see if they win or not? Also, why not send back a stealth spy bot first, and kill John when he's taking a shit or something? Man, the first film really gets cheapened by the iterations. With T1 and only T1, you can rationalize that the robots had only one shot, that they could only make a super-robotic educated guess, and dropped the first terminator somewhere in the time period where Sara Connor is alive. Now, lame. I hate you, INC.
