FABIO is all gleeful in AIM about the first mission being hard because it's a bike versus a gun full of guns. He feels this validates his mockery of the BMXs in the game. He's wrong of course. Thet just made the mission too hard.
I think the developers figured it would be very exciting to start the game off with a bang, making you flee for your life on a lowly bike, and story-wise emphasizing your humble beginnings that kick off the game. They miscalculated of course, and apparently it's frustrating everyone.
Except me of course, of course, finishing it on the first try. My secret? Tapping X a lot.
Long ago there was a PSX game called "One" that was mediocre overall but had an AWESOME first five minutes. You wake up, and a militray chopper sends missiles through the window. Then there is a huge chase as the chopper guns and missiles a catwalk from outside the windows as you run and jump away. It was pure adrenaline and really hard but totally fun. Anyway, that's just an aside.
My only beef with GTA SA so far is the framerate. Horrible. |
