Nobody's saying she can't, however your average car salesman is a hungry, desperate viper and what guy wants his girl hanging around those people in a large cash transaction when he can help out? Do things somehow change when you become married? Because no husband would let his wife buy a car all on her own. He knows he's the one who's going to be out in the rain/snow/sleet dealing with the hunk of shit when it breaks down. Plus, this is all going on in Las Vegas. I've never bought a car there, but aside from getting a Saturn or something I can't imagine the backdrop makes it easier to negotiate for a vehicle.
