M.A.C.H. III - Laser disc fighter/bomber pilot game. I thought this was the greatest goddamned thing ever invented by anyone. That game RAWKED! I loved it. I'm hoping my friend, who's working on a MAME rig, can somehow put that in. I doubt it.

Trust me: he won't. Okay, maybe he will, who knows? I do think it would be possible to do really cool (or relatively cool) laserdisc-style games with today's DVD-based consoles. I owned a Sega CD for about a week before returning it, but during that week I really enjoyed the port of Cobra Command they'd done.

You're thinking of Fussbette. I only make fun of SB for the brainbox stuff. Anyway, please note the M.A.C.H. 2.5 project was begun around the fall of '85, and was abandoned, oh.... I'd say it was right around the fall of '85. Plus it was for Apple ][e. Or ][+. Or something.

I'm no designer. Besides, everyone has to start somewhere, but you're right - I was pretty fucking thrilled to not be transferring files from one server to the other all day, and to actually be in production.
