Nice. And you're gay.

PONG. Hell yes. My dad had these friends, and they never met a credit card they didn't like, so they had all this KEWL NOO SHIT at their house, including the WOWEEZOWEE new game Pong. What a boring fucking game. To use FABIO's analogy, it's having your grandmother molest you when you're 12.

OREGON TRAIL. My AT class (academically talented. Whatever) did a bunch of fundraisers and bought an Apple IIe, and we played this stupid game endlessly.

(something) AND (something), ODYSSEY2. What a weird system. Magnavox couldn't score any licenses, so they made up their own games (and knock-offs). Pac-Man? KC Munchkin! Donkey Kong? Pick Axe Pete! BTW, those exclamations points aren't mine, every game for the Odyssey ended with a ! The game I refer to, I can't remember at the moment, but it was supposed to be an adventure phantasy game, and I believe it had a D&D-type ripoff name. You could be a warrior (sword), wizard (stun blast), changeling (I don't remember what he did), and the fourth guy, who could walk through walls. You got a ring or something on each maze I think, and fought these four enemies. If the warrior "killed" one, it would immediately reappear on the edge of the screen. The "maze" (some large blocks) might move ("shifting halls"). You went around on a little gameboard and found out what you had to do and programmed the maze that way. Stupid. We used to laugh at one fo the locations: Baal's Tor. HAHA BALLS TORE!

VECTREX: Apparently, this system is quite the collectible now. OOO vector-based graphics. A tank game where you used to fight enemy tanks and the occasional chopper that eventually got so fast and accurate it would zip over over you and kill you instantly. An Asteroids knock-off that had enemy ships and a "black hole" in the middle that slowly sucked everything into it. When I got bored with it, I pretended it was a giant alien spaceship and I had it attack my G.I.Joes.

INDIANA JONES and MASTERMIND for Atari 2600. My pal Mikey had the 2600. Fuck, we loved these two games. The devious puzzles in IJ and MM were unparalleled. Plus, the monsters in MM were spooky.

MOTOR MANIA. First game I ever played on my older brother's Commodore 64. I have to hand it to the C64: with its built-in cartridge port, plus accesory tape player and disk drive, you had options. So we had MOTOR MANIA, a primitive racing game that came on a cassette tape. It took 500 years to load. Thank God he bought ZORK I and II soon after.

AZTEC. My favorite C64 game. Ripped off Raiders way before Tomb Raider did. With a gun and bombs, you delved deeper and deeper into some ancient generic temple to retrieve The Idol. Enemies included headhunters (which I called "Black Muthas" before I even knew what the hell I was babbling about), miniature T-Rexes, snakes, giant spiders. You had staircases, or you blew up floors and walls to get around, and the map changed every time you played. There were like 20 keys you had to use to play, so me and my pal would split the duties. Co-op play!

DUNGEON MASTER. On my pal's Amiga. First game to keep me up through morning. Went home, napped, played again all through the night. Fuck, I loved that game. That was my high-school sweetheart, the one I probably should have married if I hadn't so many wild oats to sow. THERE'S NOTHING WRONG WITH THIS GAME I WON'T HEAR OF IT.

BDR
