There's this aroma, this . . . flavor to seafood that makes me want to vomit and vomit and vomit some more just so I'm sure that vomit's what it's for.

Ammonia, I believe is the problem though I'm happy to recieve correction on this point. See, if I recall my 10th grade AP Biology class correctly, sea-dwelling organisms are completely ensconced in a medium (water) that transports their waste products away from their bodies and thus release it directly into this medium. Not so with land animals, which had to develop a very complex system of compressing all their waste down to urea - which is what you piss and, BDR (Bill Dungsroman) correct me here, sweat. The point is, sea-dwelling organisms spend their entire lives just swimming in puddles of their own unprocessed ammonia-flavored piss. The fact that ammonia (or whatever it is) slightly nauseates me to begin with aside, the thought of what I'm about to ingest having swam in its own excreta all its life makes me want to run to the nearest rest room and heave my stomach dry, and then twice more just to be absolutely certain.

Next in series: how the slightest whiff of alcohol makes me extremely nauseous.

No offense, kid, but I find it hard to believe that you can seriously smell or taste ammonia on a salmon. A washed, cooked salmon. Oh wait a minute, you take pills for things right? That might do it. Well, can't really discuss this then. The senses are relative and so forth.

Good luck.

When my family and I moved into our last house back in New York, it was the house of people who chainsmoked like fiends trying to get lung cancer for literally 40 years without a break. It took 5 full fucking days of elbow grease and putting every muscle in your body into the effort. Using every cleaning agent known to man to get the deposits off the walls, and even then we did another round later on.

Our primary agent was ammonia. I had it dripping down my body, in my clothes, my hair, and honestly fucking everywhere. I took half hour showers and still came out smelling like the shit. I can still remember that smell and believe me when I say I know the smell of ammonia. I don't know if it's exactly ammonia but there's something very . . . similar in the smell and taste of any seafood product that makes me want to throw up - and always flashes me back to those 5 hellish days of backbreaking work. I've gone to dozens of seafood places because of my father and smelled countless different meals from them - the places and the meals both always reek of the same fucking stink that you can even taste in fucking Gordon's breaded fisherspam.

Seafood is all the same and it's all revolting.

Well, we've all learned an important lesson: back breaking labor makes you hate fish. I understand your pathological hate of seafood, but boy are you missing out. Sushi, in most forms, is wonderful.
