Except a few breaded shrimp which can't be distinguished from chicken.
There's this aroma, this . . . flavor to seafood that makes me want to vomit and vomit and vomit some more just so I'm sure that vomit's what it's for.
Ammonia, I believe is the problem though I'm happy to recieve correction on this point. See, if I recall my 10th grade AP Biology class correctly, sea-dwelling organisms are completely ensconced in a medium (water) that transports their waste products away from their bodies and thus release it directly into this medium. Not so with land animals, which had to develop a very complex system of compressing all their waste down to urea - which is what you piss and, BDR (Bill Dungsroman) correct me here, sweat. The point is, sea-dwelling organisms spend their entire lives just swimming in puddles of their own unprocessed ammonia-flavored piss. The fact that ammonia (or whatever it is) slightly nauseates me to begin with aside, the thought of what I'm about to ingest having swam in its own excreta all its life makes me want to run to the nearest rest room and heave my stomach dry, and then twice more just to be absolutely certain.

Next in series: how the slightest whiff of alcohol makes me extremely nauseous. |
