I think it's a little foolish trying to fit the behavior of any potential aliens into our view of reality.
You say this, yet you provide your own example anyway.
There are dozens of reasons as to why they are doing what they are (if they are). One may be a massive psychological experiment. Human scientists spend years studying various "lower" animals and plants from afar before ever dragging them into a laboratory. Even if they do, the rest of the species does not find out. If the aliens exist, they seem to be doing the same thing on a larger scale. But I don't know if they are. I don't know what to believe. I just don't want to rule out anything. At all.

My example was one example. Your example is just as much a guess. Either way, it's equally foolish to think that we know what is going on with the other potentially intelligent, potentially existing extraterrestrial lifeforms. I never rule anything out, but I do know what is more likely to be the case. As far as UFO's are concerned, I would say it's more likely that I have a speck of something on my glasses that is making me see weird reflections, or that the military is testing something SEKRET, or that my neighbor is holding a laser-light show, than that I am seeing a UFO.
I'll get back to you when they come shake appendages with me.

This argument has finally unraveled with both of us admitting that we aren't sure about what is REALLY GOING ON. “You’ll pay to know what you really think!†I guess one of us will feel vindicated (if violated) as soon as their ass is probed, and the other will know the sweet taste of victory when George Bush slips up and tells America that UFOs are nothing but “Texan Flying Birdsâ€. Good day. |
