| Witcher 2 - Piss poor combat that really relies on dodging. A lot. And taking swipes of attrition. A lot. But I like it. Why? Fuck is it pretty if not a little generic.
From Dust - I am scooping dirt and sculpting sea walls and redirecting rivers. It sounds fun in theory but somehow they manage to fuck up being a deity and instead force one to play as a shitty public works foreman. Like how I imagine it'd be to those midgets from Time Bandits...without the time traveling. The controls are tedious and imprecise, forcing one to grind as they lug handfuls of sand and dirt and even blobs of lava to render the most rudimentary change to the environment. And for what? To save the lemmings that are your Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Really feels like the old Deus Ex with a bright coat of paint. I don't know if this is a good thing? I am playing fairly steahtly/kill everything not plot related. Really feels like Deus Ex to me. Warhammer 2 (both sequels, all the DLC). - Last Man Standing seems awesome. Is there one I should play at the exclusion to others? I've heard the First is repetitive? And so far it seems like small unit squads in similar scenarios in order to test out new gear and tactics. Good to see some posts around here. |
