Alan Wake- God I love this game. The combat is slightly less monotonous than Max Payne, about as fun as Resident Evil 4 if you had spent the whole game fighting nothing but basic villagers with the pistol. The humor in the story is genius though. Tons of Twin Peaks references and your sidekick Barry is one of the best game characters ever. This is DRM free on GOG.com now so Mischief Maker has no more excuses.
Armada 2526- Was super unimpressed from the first 15 minute impression. Maybe there's something there, but I can't imagine when I'd dredge up the interest to take a second look.
Batman: Arkham Asylum- The most interesting looking out of all the games I haven't touched yet. I remember seeing that people were pissed the game didn't tell you how to do certain moves until the end. Any advice?
Binding of Isaac- If you're not into nethack style dying to the random number generator and trial & error items, you will HATE this.
Cave Story+ I guess this was impressive 5(?) years ago. When does it get good?
L.A. Noire- Bought this solely for loose cannon cop dialog porn. Have yet to try it.
Lone Survivor- Some indie sprite side scroller Silent Hill clone. It's not bad, but seems way too short. I've only logged 2 hours and it seems like I'm almost at the end. Every indication points to a TWIST ending that you were crazy the whole time and the monsters were people maaayun.
Noitu Love Devolution 2- I quit right after the godawful tutorial level that teaches you nothing and doesn't give you a chance to play around. Have yet to come back to it.
Prince of Persia (reboot)- Hey, it was only $2.50. It's got to be better than the other sequels, right?
The Witcher 2- I shoved the extra $4 up my ass and went with the GOG.com version to support Mischief's revolution. You owe me one, PAL. |
