I am not a fan of the local teams, but I do take an interest. I guess my problem with all of this is McDaniels, who hasn't done or won anything, being the guy to make this trade happen. I had similar objections (again, they were slight: the Jays and Saints have their own fucking problems) when Carmelo and Todd Helton were rumored to be on the block. Fine, fine, trade them, but get new general managers in before you do. Things progressing so badly that those two guys are on the block means new management should be the ones handling the trade.
But then the Rockies went to the WS, Helton regressed and the Nuggets got the two seed in the west, so what the fuck do I know.
