Rose Royce - In Full Bloom, Rainbow Connection, Car Wash, users: izess, dj_sel (that might be an i and caps matter)
The others aren't coming up, but in my experience the most extremely obscure albums put on your "wishlist" will eventually pop up. And if they are nowhere else to get...
They aren't on slsk until someone put them up there, so that's a silly criterion. More to the point: they will all be on BitTorrent shortly, since I'll be putting them there myself. You see how that works? Maybe they'll get archived at slsk, but who fucking cares anyway.
Though I'm impressed you found as many as you did. And super extra pissed that Sam & Dave didn't even fuckin' register. SAM AND FUCKING DAVE. Sam & Dave are so unobscure that John Belushi and Dan Ackroyd made a whole movie as a love letter to them, and then had Sam Cooke fucking appear in the sequel. As much as I'd love more solo albums by Sun Ra backup band members, I'd also like some fucking SAM and fucking DAVE. DO YOU READ ME, SOULSEEK? EARTH TO SOULSEEK: IT'S OKAY TO GET CAUGHT WITH MUSIC THAT ISN'T SCARY/FRENCH/IMPENETRABLE.
So wait, what's the difference between going into a Soulseek chat room and requesting an album, and going into a oink.me.uk message board and posting a message requesting an album? Congratulations Bittorrent world, crazy Zseni loves to post torrents for you, so that makes you better.
Also, you're completely incompetent at Soulseek. I just put in "sam dave" as a search term and got back at least 200 results, including three instances of "the best of Sam and Dave" and a stax/volt collection of Sam & Dave singles.
I won't disagree with you that BT is a much faster and solid way to get, well, anything, but come on. Take your quixotic P2P jihad somewhere else. |
