| It's Xmas season again, and so it is now time to populate my Amazon list. Pretty much every game I have gotten has been because people talked about it here.
WHAT ARE THE CALTROPS CLASSICS MISSING FROM THIS LIST? (with capsule reviews!) Activision Anthology This is the one that convinced Mrs. oK that we needed the console. I like it alright, it's good for when you want to play video games for 5 minutes. Amplitude Loved this. Ape Escape 2 Bought this for Mrs. oK, ended up playing most of it for her because girls are bad at games. Devil May Cry 3 Loved it. Fatal Frame I'm such a pussy that I can't play it by myself in a dark basement which is where I play video games. Enjoyed it very much but never finished it. Gitaroo Man Bought this for Mrs. oK after she was a huge fan of Amplitude. She didn't like this one and since it was a gift for her that she didn't like it can never be played by me. God Hand Hands (!) down the best PS2 game I've played. God Of War Very enjoyable, beat it twice and have no desire to play it again. GTA Vice City Didn't like it. It feels like work. If I wanted a second job I'd play WoW. Katamari Damacy Enjoyable for a few minutes but it makes me vomitously motion sick. Kingdom Hearts I actually enjoyed the hell out of this stupid game! Psi-Ops I wanted to like this but the controls, camera and the dim visuals combine to turn it into a bad dream where someone is shooting at me from someplace I can't find. Ratchet and Clank 1-3 Great at first, kinda tired of the concept by #3. Rumble Roses My sister got this for me as a gag gift... OR DID SHE? Great for times when you want your porn soft and wrestly. Shadow Of The Colossus Enjoyed but did not finish it. It's like watching Fantasia except you have to consult GameFAQs to see the next vignette. Silent Hill 2 Again, I'm a big pussy and I get too chicken to play these alone in the dark. But from what I did play the gameplay was pretty annoying. Ok, so what am I missing? -Psychonauts is already wishlisted -Guitar Hero etc just make me want to play actual music instead -On the fence about Okami, seems a bit too artsy and not enough fartsy -Disgaea is already wishlisted |
