No matter how many Fibonacci successions appear in the works of Bach, it's not applicable to a discussion of Pearl Jam versus Bobby Brown. All participants would rather hear the worst Pearl Jam song mixed with the worst Bobby Brown song than listen to Bach's anything.
Secondly, in my high school experience, when you crack a joke, surrounding girls either laugh or roll their eyes. They don't throw an awesome tag onto the joke. I know, I know, I was probably doing my material on the wrong girls. This maybe true, but I'm sure not going to waste good lines on the uglies.
This all makes me sad. It suggests less that Zseni is Awesome, which is how most discussions around here usually go, and it suggests more that I'm the Dubya of the Gender Wars, draining the powerful armies of womandom on futile and senseless foreign activity. Also, my giant brain is a useless appendage. So it's like I'm an incredibly smart Dubya who still does all the same retarded shit.
For what it's worth, I do think you're blowing your good lines and your sperm on the wrong girls, and this probably shapes your estimation of femaledom. You should take a chance (take-a-chance take-a take-a chance chance) on something more esoteric, if uglier, some time. Also: during this experience, don't let it slip that you think you're doing her a favor!
This discussion eventually spins into why there are so few women comedians, and the "aggressive" nature of comedy.
I'm guessing there are so few women comedians for some of the same reasons there are so few fugly girl actors. Comedy is aggressive, yes, but there's nothing Not Aggressive about women. More importantly, funny guys are sexy because they're funny, and here we queue Jessica Rabbit for backup, but a fugly girl isn't sexy no matter how funny she is, and all girls must manditorily be sexy before they're interesting. To everyone, male and female.
The obvious rebuttal to my Transformers point is to say "Not even women would go see an ugly woman kick ass. That's why there aren't fuglies in the movies, idiot." |
