The autosave only triggers on a world map transition which is probably the most retarded idea ever. So, you're completely used to auto-saves from every other RPG and you need to school yourself to start quick saving all over again. I ran into the dragon, decided my guys were bad ass enough, quick saved while fighting it, and noticed I had no auto save. It seems like either they don't want fighters to be able to damage the thing, don't have the floaters display properly on the dragon, or except you to waste your time doing full +5 enchant suits for your characters. I just used god mode and magic missiled the fucking thing to death, as that seems to be the only way to provide it regular damage.
I'll probably throw together a review on this after I finish up the third chapter (and I really hope I'm nowhere near the end of it). It's got an odd combination of really great things and inexcusably horrible things, and I hope there is a proper expansion for it. |

Just because it's D&D, do dragons need to be in the game? by Worm 11/21/2006, 12:38am PST
