...these cutscenes are just ridiculous. I understand that Metal Gear isn't a dead serious game, but these cutscenes go beyond over the top and end up being laughable. Especially when compared to the amazing Hollywood style Mr. Kojima employs in his cutscenes. In this game, Snake is a master acrobat capable of all kinds of aerial gymnastics and bullet-time effects. He flips off of missles, dodges swords and bullets, and takes a tank shell to the chest. All in a days work, I guess. This over the top direction is more distracting than anything else and while in some cases it's cool (Snake encountering Meryl) most of the time it's cheesy (Snake break dancing on the jeep machine gun).
