June 10, 2004:
I spent half an hour with Ella; my English lit prof @ 3PM. Her class isn't until 6PM. We got to know each other and are falling romantically in love... Actually, I had some questions and she had some questions why I had trouble with an assignment so that she could offer some help.
Good Lord! She's a really young wholesomly beautiful and sweet Prof! Sweet because of the way she smiles & giggles. At the end of the half hour meeting, I reached into a thick solid color shopping bag and gave her potted flowers! She said it wasn't necessary; nonetheless, she accepted it and said it was sweet of me! Flowers are the appropriate thing to give because I'm sure there are rules against Profs accepting gifts of significant monetary value (e.g. electronics, cash, jewelry, Courvousier Congac).
June 13, 2004:
The Director or his designate has the right to require the immediate withdrawl of a resident... ...who engages in threatenting or aggressive behaviour towards staff or residents,... (his emphasis)
It turns out, that on Friday night when I got in the elevator the porter (front desk) called for security to intercept me (sensing trouble). If it wasn't for someone who collapsed from drunkeness in the stairwell and a flare up with a drunk on the second floor, I would have been in big trouble. I'm lucky that nobody called the University Police too.
The fiasco was investigated while I was sleeping. The Don and his Deputies were up all night trying to find out what happened. The person who I had the altercation with was a Deputy (who in my view should be relieved for being the prick who actually antagonized me and escalated the situation). BTW, I've never heard of a fucking Deputy (maybe they're just bullshitting me). It why I was saying "I don't give a fuck who you are! If this happens again they're going to be fists flying!" Or threaten them with a "punch to the throat" whenever I didn't like what they said.
I was told that this was the worst thing that has happened in the three years one of the Deputies had been on my floor. They thought I was going to severly beat them.
The only reason I haven't been evicted was because one of the Don's Deputies vouched for me. Why? I don't know. The Don was prepared to recommend my eviction. I'm told the incident was written up as an argument that was resolved. I guess its also good that I had brought three witnesses who'll say whatever I want them to. However, incident will be sent to the Dean of Residence and put on record.
Do I regret it? Fuck NO! The only thing I regret was that this happened in a way that could get me in trouble. I'm smarter than that.
When Kate found out it was me causing the commotion, she said: "Joe, I thought you were nice!" I told her I was and smiled; she smiled back kind of impressed at that side of me! She was in her room at that time and needed to go to the bathroom but was too afraid because of the noise.
I'm not someone who gets mad, so this incident is an abberation. I thought I'd be over it, but I'm not really. I'm going to check with the residence office in the morning if I can switch rooms to another side of the floor (provided I give a good enough reason that doesn't get me in trouble).
P.S. When I get the chance, I'm going to give my side of the story to the Don.
June 17, 2004:
I seem to have quite the skill to win people over to certain causes; an ability to appeal to emotion and not ration.
For some reason, I've been able to build a cadre of operatives who've begun being a thorn at the side of the fool on my floor (on their own initiative). Bringing people together and getting them to and turn on someone is impressive. Everywhere I go, people are trash talking the fool and also intentionally pushing the fools buttons. The beauty of it is, I have nothing to do with it! There's actually plausible deniability on my part! After all, am I my brother or sister's keeper? Lastly, I'm not even around when something happens nor can anything be traced back to me because I'm not even involved. Its almost like independent cells of operatives have formed and spread like a contagion.
The hounds have been released and its beyond my control. I must add that, nothing is happening that can get me in trouble. Its not like I'm responsible for other people's behaviour if I'm not even in the residence or in my room. I'm teflon!
This is a skill that will prove valuable in life.
It kind of makes me feel so alive! I haven't done anything like this since 8th grade when I formed a cabal that ended up causing two people I hated to choose different high schools from the one I was going to in order to flee the antagonization unleashed on my part.
Dear friends, I hope this doesn't give you a bad impression of me. I'm really a nice guy and a loyal friend. There really isn't a cognitive dissonance. I'm just like sea food in that I'm an acquired taste and one that's fancied (by some) once I'm tasted.
June 19, 2004:
Harry Callaghan (portrayed by Clint Eastwood) in "The Enforcer" remarked that: "A man's got to know his limitations".
I have to know my limitations. In particular, I really seem to go around like I'm teflon. I don't want to become some character from a Greek Tradegy... The rules for everyday people don't really seem to apply to me; when I violate the rules and become a deviant, I'm only greeted with the typical "right on man"!
I took four blond girls from the residence last night to Dance Cave. We were walking on the streets drunk (we'll they were) and holding bottles of beer, one of them had decided to sit down while waiting for the "walk" signal. The Police drove by and were astonished to see a blatant violation of rules regarding public drunkeness. I commented that they were in my custody and there will be no trouble, the Police drove away.
P.S. Everyone that came with me didn't have to pay cover. I also got two free pitchers of "Labatt 50" from the bar!
June 22, 2004:
I'm talking and jesturing in this pic. In specific, it was probably about something absurd and nonsensical--- primarily the product of my vivid and creative imagination. It makes me (from the testimony of others) "the man" to be around when people are drinking!
June 28, 2004:
On Thursday night, I gave my number to a girl working at Pita Pit. I had seen her the previous Friday night. At both times, I was profoundly drunk and she took my order and handcrafted my pita. I always chatted with her those times. In fact, when I saw her last Thursday, we were chatting so much the boss had to remind her that customers are waiting!
SHE CALLED ME TONIGHT! When I first met her, she was only 16 yrs old (two fridays ago); last Friday was her 17th birthday. OMG!!! Yes, I knew how old she was when I gave her my phone number. I'm 10 yrs older than her! The only reason why I befriended her is that she didn't look 16!
Anyway, we're going to do something tommorow night. I'll call her when I'm finished class.
OMG! A 17 yr old blonde girl called me! (his bold)
P.S. I just called Catherine while writing this to check if she really doesn't care that I'm 27; she doesn't!
P.P.S. Catherine told me that lots of guys give her their phone numbers but she throws them away. She also told me she was debating for a while (kind of timid) about actually callling me; I'm glad she did.
June 30, 2004:
I met Catherine last night. I told her I'd be waiting at the benches beside Future's Cafe... She got there right on time! Acutally, I was sitting just watching people walk by when this girl walking towards me called my name. I didn't realize how pretty she is! After all, the two times I've seen her, I was drunk. She's taller than I thought; she's almost my height.
Desptie being 17 yrs old, she was nonetheless served alcohol at Future's. She's different--- I don't know if that's good or bad.
- She doesn't go to school because she works full-time. She lives on her own because she doesn't get along with her Mom's boyfriend (that's why she left home).
- She plays hockey and baseball, likes cars, drinks beer, is open to porn and has watched it.
- Cathernine is a novelty seeker. She seeks stimulation and gets bored in due time... Furthermore, she has a high propensity for taking risks.
- She broke up with her boyfriend on Sunday because he cheated on her with her best friend. Actually, they have an open relationship. However, it was cheating with her best friend that crossed the line.
- She's one of those people that has lots of friends. i.e. People always calling her cell phone
It was interesting last night... I kind of felt the clock was turned back. She's rather beautiful and despite many flaws; nonetheless a good person. I felt that she opened up to me, telling me things about her personal life and even showing me pictures of her dog from her wallet.
Catherine was really interested in me, she never ran out of things to say nor did she lose eye contact. I think I made her laugh a lot and made her blush a few times. I even got her a rose from one of those guys who sell them to males in the company of females.
Perhaps she was timid, but I thought we'd kiss on the first date... She gave me hug and asked me to call her tonight (she's not working).
As I headed home, I thought to myself... Fine, she's pretty and has somewhat of a personality---- However, I'M NOT THE GUY FOR HER! I told myself that I was going to call her tonight and tell her that. It wouldn't be fair to her if I didn't.
While sleeping, I heard my phone beeping (periodically) to announce that there was a text message waiting...
I had fun 2 night thax
