Yeah, it's still in Hugo but care will be given to provide a tutorial for moving around and doing stuff. Right now it just plops you in and assumes you've been playing text adventures and are familiar with how they move.
I'm going to use Unity2D for whatever the next game is. It lets you use C#, which is a lot like Java, which I use every day at work. The underlying "engine" of a CRPG is going to be pretty much the same, so I think that the guts of creating and saving characters and moving around will be extremely portable.
