You can't save IMMEDIATELY before the storyline bosses, but before enough, and most of them go right into the battle. You can skip the dialog with triangle, and the walking around before the brothel boss (how did you die on the brothel boss you faggot?) probably took up like 5 minutes.
If you got stuck up on the bosses that early, I feel like I need to explain RPGs at their VERY BASIC PREMISE to you. Did you not get to the first boss in the tower before you got to the first full moon? If you don't advance as far as you can in the tower you're not going to be able to beat the boss. I mean shit, there is even a quest that you'll fail if you don't clear that part of the tower before the storyline boss. The game effectively does everything it can to scream at you to finish the tower bosses before the storyline bosses. If you meet that single goal, the storyline bosses just aren't hard. The end boss was horrible, yeah okay, still not worse than the end boss of Arkham Asylum.
I really don't know if quick save/reload RNG whoring from western RPGs spoiled you or if the absolute removal of difficulty and challenge from all single player games did it, though holy shit. Persona 3 wasn't that hard and wasn't that much of a grindfest. Though it's definitely not a game you should try to power through so you can get a front page review up or argue about it with people on the internet.

I'm sure not saying it's perfect, but you're being a real fag over the issues with difficulty and bosses. It's just a long game that saps a ton of time, hell, I even started my review of it by admitting I got totally burnt out on it. Though if you're going to fucking tell me you're more embarrassed listening to the anime kids in Persona prattle on that you were listening to Jeanette the slut vampire talk about her slut vampire cunt, I mean then you're just being wholly disingenuous. |
