Why did young Kirk drive the car off a cliff? If he's just being a dick, why wait to the last second to jump out? Why did that red shirt jump directly to his fucking doom like an asshole? Why didn't they evacuate Romulus immediately when they knew about the supernova instead of forming a committee and outfitting a ship and waiting for Spock to travel over? Why did the villain blame Spock anyway? Why didn't Nero just blow up the Federation immediately instead of waiting for their tech to advance 25 years? It sure seemed like he could have done it at any point even without red matter. Why didn't the villain go to Romulus and give them his future tech right away and warn them about the supernova 130 years later? Why didn't Spock beam down at the entrance to the cave? Why did the teleporters fail to save Amanda falling at 2 m/s but manage to save suicide-bomber 20,000m/s Spock? Why did Nero's "mining ship" have so many phasers and photon torpedoes? Why didn't anybody's shields ever stop a single thing? Why didn't Scotty just beam the escape pod to the outpost as soon as it landed? What are the odds that Kirk would run into Spock on that planet? (I assumed at first that Spock knew Kirk would crash there so he arranged to be there in advance but nope it was just retarded.)
I normally don't notice plot holes so I just thought "Oh, that does not make any sense but I bet they'll explain it later" but nope. I liked the movie and want a sequel right away, but the plot was very bad. |
