With quality stats and plenty of item slots, you become an eccentric god crashing through the mall, shit flying everywhere and bodies knee deep. If you're still getting hung up with the plot, you're going to get frustrated. Fuck around. Find interesting things and use them to smear zombies. Come back to the plot on a second or maybe even third run and give it a whirl. When you have the mall layout in your head and a plan of action for the resources you want to have, it will be a much more interesting experience. Still an occasionally broken one, but very gratifying.
