It's still great for movies, and it will stay the main movie projector, but I notice that in the second half of the last console generation I played way less console games just because of the extra hassle of the projector. Being busier, it's nice to hop onto a game for 20 minutes at a time, but I was always just sitting down to the computer instead of starting up a game. Having to turn the lights off alone would discourage me from starting up the projector, especially with other people in the room. Secondly, the Infocus X1 is just not going to cut it for the next gen consoles. The 1000 lumens were no match for the darker games, and I'd go to friends' houses and LOTS of missed detail in Burnout Revenge. Time to ween myself off the $300 bulbs too. Finally, having a nice TV for this second room is needed anyway. I want to do heavy heavy consoling over the winter. Not only do I need to catch up on last year's games, but the Q4 line-up looks great.
