Also, it showed how the woman could act out of love when it was beneficial to her and then OOPS forget whom she loves when it's inconvenient , before finally killing herself out of shame. The moral of this movie is "don't trust a woman in the presence of stronger men."

The woman made a habit of fucking her way out of tight spots, and her secret fucks were a slap in the face of her lover. It was clear she would fuck him over eventually, but she knew this and she told him as much! She told him to keep his shit secret because she couldn't be trusted. He should have trusted her when she said she couldn't be trusted. He fucked up, and she is to be loved. If you didn't cry when she ran in front of that truck, then you are a piece of shit.

Also, yes, the men were strong and great.

Two unacceptably coincidental things from the movie:

After finally deciding to turn in the artist, the bald headed investigator walks in on his boss reading how artists of that type would be horribly punished should they be caught. The investigator is then understandably put off turning the artist in. Too coincidental!

The traffic on Soviet streets was rightly shown as slim to non-existant, yet when she decided to top herself, a speeding truck appeared. Unacceptably coincidental considering the alternavtive forms of suicide available.

Fantastic movie!
