I heard elsewhere that the formula actually stolen was for a new Coke product.
The actual Coca Cola Classic formula is allegedly only known to like 2 people at a time, and they order various ingredients to be combined into different reagents by different areas, which are then recombined into the final product, so no one but the person that does the ordering and the CEO knows everything that goes in. At least, that's how they did it when I read about it like 20 years ago.
To me, the whole "Coke formula" thing inspires some skepticism, because anyone that's lived in different geographic areas knows that it tastes different depending on your region. For example, the Coca Cola you can buy in Ontario is a lot sweeter than what they sell in Michigan. |
