Re: specifics plz! (mild spoilers) by Eyo 07/02/2005, 3:00pm PDT I thought it was okay. The sound was amazing and the tripods vaporizing people looked great. Dakota Fanning was awful and Tom Cruise was himself, but it never felt boring as much as occasionally blindingly stupid. It was a fun alien invasion movie with an ending that maybe was a bit too classic. It has a realistic and gritty feel to it despite the ending being ludicrously sentimental. That's spielberg, i guess.
