Batman Begins by Ray of Light 06/16/2005, 7:25am PDT
I saw this in a not-very-full theatre last night. Good performances all around, a lot of corny dialogue and fake-looking CG. Good batgear. Casting Morgan Freeman AND THEN giving the magic negro role to Michael Caine was a pleasant surprise. Katie Holmes and her boss look uncannily like 10-years-younger versions of the guy and Jill Hennessy from Law and Order.

As a followup to the original Burton Batman, this movie would be fine. As a franchise-reviving punch, intended to make audiences forget the abortions that came between, it falls very very short.
