The rules now bear only the slightest resemblance to the classic DND/AD&D1st&2nd rules, yet are still bizarre and esoteric, perhaps even more so. In other words, still the clunkiest rules system, now none of the classic nostalgia to justify plodding through them. Also, now the most expensive system to get into.
I remember being really pissed as a kid that the makers of fucking Magic bought out TSR. |
