well they need access to "undetectable alignment" somehow, otherwise it's too easy because a 0-level cantrip can disrupt their entire mission (Sorry sir, it's SOP to cast "detect evil" on visitors to the King's Palace). Others are debatable, but invisiblity + true strike + fox's cunning + sneak attack + death attack = INSANE.
Which reminds me, all those "stat booster" spells last 1 minute / level now. SUCK ASS. It used to be the party wizard wakes up and "yawn, ok I cast mage armor, bull's strength and endurance" and then he can forget about it for the rest of the session and be all buff. Now he has to sit around with a stack of scrolls to cast his damn spells after every fight :( |
