Assume everything on this message board is under a Creative Commons license until we figure out what's really going on. Ideally I'd like authors to retain full rights to stuff they post, AND for Caltrops.com to retain full rights, except when Caltrops.com deems its rights are being trampled upon by the authors in which case Caltrops.com automatically wins any dispute upon notifying the author. Seeing as we don't have a lawyer, a non-profit corporation, or anything like those, we'll probably end up using the Creative Commons license or something very much like it until we do (briefly: anyone can rebroadcast content posted here however they wish provided they don't impersonate us or sue us)

In any case, it doesn't matter who is copyrighting what - AS LONG AS THAT MATERIAL IS COPYRIGHTED BY SOMEONE ELSE (ie Zionist Media Conspiracy Newspapers, Inc.) IT CANNOT BE POSTED HERE *ESPECIALLY* NOT IN IT'S ENTIRETY.

That's just outright illegal which is why I have to take it down. It's really not any different from Zseni posting anime videos here in raw data format rather than, say, just linking them directly - which is also illegal under the DMCA. I know it sucks and believe me as someone who thrived off of anime, mp3s, and warez at one time I full understand how you're going "OH MY GOD THIS IS SUCH BULLSHIT" because I did the same thing. But I have absolutely no choice about this kind of thing, I will not ruin my life for something you people can just as easily do outside of caltrops.com with email and BitTorrent. GO DO IT THERE IF YOU MUST DO IT, BUT DO NOT INVOLVE ME AT ALL.

I run an extremely offensive website that may get me sued by an irate parent and the server confiscated as evidence at some point in time and I will need to be able to demonstrate to the court that I did my absolute best to run a service which was in full compliance with the law and that is the motherfucking end of the story. I have as much choice about this as you do about breathing or being an stupid fucking jackoff.
