Along with "Oooh, Bin Laden and Afghanistan are TOAST!" and "NOBODY will mess with U.S. for a LOOOOONG time!" and "I'm going to bang that sexy blonde in HR!"

And over a year later, Afghanistan is still there, albiet a little battered, Bin Laden is (somewhat arguably) still alive, North Korea is defiant, she'd rather fuck the mailboy, and NOBODY HAS HIJACKED A FUCKING AIRPLANE ANYWHERE. My point was that evidence that could only be acquired through the actual passing of time - and not histrionic pussy-waving from armchair diplomats the nation over the next day - exists. My point is that hijacking a plane is probably no longer an option for terrorists, since the margin for success is considerably lower now. If/when the next terrorist attack comes, it will probably be at some highly-populated ground target, with agents working on the ground mounting it. The safest place just might be in the sky, on an airplane.
