Everyone is clamoring for new readers, new contributors, new content. But they're not just going to show up without a compelling reason. No one's knocking down the door to any refugee camps unless the food there is WAY better than in civilization, and the food here sucks right now.

So, here's what you can do. You can continue to try and prove me wrong by arguing with me. Or you can actually prove me wrong by improving the content of the site. So far, it's been clear which choice everyone is making. But what do I know? Maybe a site written by ten people, read by the same ten people, and commented on by the same ten people is what everyone wants. If so, may I suggest a listserve?

Oh excellent, you summarized my reply to you, made it sound insulting, and repeated it back to me by way of rebuttal. Double irony points: indicating that someone else spelled it all out for me.

You need to drop this act. You're losing your steam and you're plainly in love with the sound of your own voice at this point. Either take a few days off to regenerate your supply of self-righteous anger or find a new schtick, because you're recycling content and growing increasingly shrill. It's not pretty to watch. You're going to kill your momentum if you keep it up.
