I've never hallucinated on shrooms, and actually I've only ever hallucinated on very good acid. It was a great thing about Berkeley (so I thought at the time): clean acid, cheap, delivered to our front door. I'm not sure if the good trip was a result of the acid being clean - we knew the guy who made it, and he didn't put speed or anything else into it (all of the acid I had prior to moving to CA had speed added to it, presumably to make it kick in faster).
I saw illusions on all of the acid I had. Just typical things like seeing the ceiling swim, and seeing trails. But flat-out hallucinations were only achieved through the clean, good stuff. And what did I see? Cartoon characters floating around the room. I'd tell you they were Disney, but then I'd get sued for copyright infringement, and have my brain confiscated.
