| assuming anyone gives a fuck about lurkers anyway. I'm basing this off of distant memories of older games as well as things like Slouching Towards Bedlam and A King of Shreds and Patches and all that fun shit.
The weapons are either interactive on more than one level (weapon mods and so forth or talking items like the better shit in Torment) or they are a repetitive mess that boosts some numbers somewhere and brings on some math puzzles for optimization depending on difficulty. Make like Emily Short and your comrades in arms, ICJ - have a decent bit of exposition on first use and less so on subsequent ones. Minimize useless repetition. No need to focus effort on a fifty-page booklet like the thing that came with Arcanum, and at least not until the game's shipped - it will be used for reference only and even then not much. |
