| Naturally it was hacked in 5 seconds. I tried this and it works. Not sure what the deal was with the developers not just scaling the resolution, it runs fine. 3 things:
1) When I first started the game, the window was full-screen but the game was in a teeny tiny window in the corner. I had to switch back and forth between windowed and full-screen to get the game to properly fill the window. 2) You can't read messages left on the ground. You can see the little glow just fine, but when you actually try to read the message the text window is empty. Whatever this hack does messes it up somehow. Hopefully it gets fixed. (note: I'm using a Radeon, so maybe it's fine on nVidia?) 3) The depth of field effect in this game makes the background look like pixellated shit at high resolution. Stuff looks fine up close. FIRELINK SHRINE Background by Sierra circa 1988 giant bird giant bird but closer The framerate appeared fine. I didn't notice any lag or slowdown, but it wasn't 60fps. I think it was how they locked the rendering, not because it couldn't handle the resolution. |
