The thing is, TV is so terrible that Dexter is one of its 10 greatest shows. Dexter ought to be the minimum we expect. I am basically with you - the first season is amazing and the second has enough going on where you forget that you're no longer creeped out by the protagonist. I don't want to spoil anything, as it seems you have a season to go, but it would be nice if season 5 gives everybody the vibe the first season did.
