It was as though he thought that acknowledging the posting excellence of others would keep them from pointing out his lack thereof. Also like BDR, INC has been unjustifiably paranoid about me for years, and one day he suddenly snapped and decided that anything I write at any time is always self-aggrandizing and unacceptable trash. And he has developed an awful fixation on the granny porn incident. I'm not saying he's turning into BDR the trailer trash bimbo - his rich wife and city livin' should prevent that - but there is a certain emerging pattern. I think in INC's case, it comes from a personal softness that his careerist bachelor days kept in check - a softness that would be totally cool and even snuggly if he didn't try to shroud it in querelous, angry, fitful arguments (he comes off as crotchety, one might say.) He apes the once-familiar forms of bachelor hardcoreness while lacking the hunger that drove it. In BDR's case it was a lifetime of deeply-felt inferiority surging to the front of his mind all day every day after setbacks IRL and lip from his Caltrops clientele. He needed an easier target, one that would be more effusively grateful for his existence and comedic scumblings - and indeed he is one of the smarter and nastier regular posters on QT3. In both cases it's just dudes at their limits. INC is briefer, and still funny when you or Fussbett provide him with adequate inspiration and structure; he's hardly the worst poster here. But he is the laziest.
