I have one suggestion that I truly believe fits everyone: Get a Mac. by Mike Wendland 12/18/2008, 9:28am PST

When readers call for computer-buying advice or friends ask me what to get, I say the same thing.

Get a Mac.

“But I use all these Windows programs,” some say.

Get a Mac. Macs run Windows, either with the Boot Camp application that comes standard with a new Mac or, what I think is a better solution, the amazingly versatile Parallels version 4.0 program that lets you run either Vista or Windows XP and the Mac OS X operating system at the same time.

The new Macs are tough, gorgeous in a new thin unibody enclosure that is made of one solid piece of aluminum and they come with a glossy glass screen that is so dazzlingly bright and beautiful in the way it renders Web pages, photos and movies that you’ll see better than you ever have on any other computer.

Just to be clear: I put my money where my mouth is: I buy all my computers.
