Because for a short while, whenever I would see people playing that game I would try to get them to read the quest text instead of blowing past it like it didn't mean anything, and then I would read it myself and get annoyed because it was generally just a lot of superficial goofiness. In other words the person who wanted to care about story was the only person NOT playing.
