What's the point of your music? It's background music for people with something to do. It's alright and it's cool. But here is more purposeful, catchy music:
When we have VISA issues, which is often, and we feel discriminated against (most recently by the Australian government), we listen to the Hot Grits 'Ballad of Joe Stalin'. It takes 50 seconds to get going but is eventually catchy as fuck and heals that wound and others! It's a crime that it's only had 435 plays. It's a New Zealand band and available only on myspace :(
My two favourite Australian bands are the The Presets and the Midnight Juggernauts.
I originally thought this MJ was song about being-a-coward-for-a-while and listened to the fuck out of it while travelling. It's already pretty gay but in additon to this, in the video, WITHOUT KNOWING IT'S A GAY THING TO DO, the gay looking keyboardest shoots pink triangles out of his crotch and into our eyes! It's also a terrible video and they also look like shit when they sing so it's really put me off it and I would forgive anyone for hating it. I loved the song before the video though.
I listened to this next Presets song plenty of times before checking Youtube and finding out the actual gay lyrics to a crucial chorus. If you give a shit, listen and tell me what you hear the chorus as....
For many happy weeks I heard, "This poison...Arrghhhhahahahhhhhahahhahhahahaha".
When sadly the actual lyrics are: "This boy's in... loooooooooooooooooooooooooooove".
And the video has two guys wrestling in milk so how can your recover from that? It's a fucking shame. FOK is dead on about the gay Aussie thing.
