It's not about noticing a rape in progress or not seeing the rapist's face, it's about retaining enough details to make a proper identification afterward. Just like you miss the gorilla when you're focusing on the white shirts, you miss details that can identify a stranger while focusing on gun that's in your face.

This probably explains it better. Since I fucked up the instructions the viceral punch the gorilla video adds is lost.

Okay, back to my finals caltrops hiatus.
