Indian fortune tellers are fucking awesome. None of that telling you you're great and special before shaking you with a few vague warnings about the future. One guy pulled me aside and told me I was a snake with pig eyes and that I should do a better job of keeping my wickedness in check! I was on my way to buy a subway sandwich. When I fell into his trap and asked him to explain what he meant by that, he managed to divert the conversation to a game where he successfully revealed my favourite colour and number, which made it difficult to dismiss him. When he saw that he'd baffled and frustrated me (as opposed to amazing me), he told me I'd find the woman I'd marry in 2008 and that I'd also travel with her to Japan in that year, but he would only tell me her name for $3. He also said he'd tell me my Mother's name for about that much. I gave him what I had in change and left. He didn't tell me any names and pretended to be insulted. |
