The constant chugging, loading, memory leaks, and bugs are wearing a lot down from this game.
Also, there's a puzzle in a sewer with a power switch, pump switch, and computer, that has to be the worst puzzle in the game. The objective: hit the pump switch and dash down a vent. The problem: trying to figure that out for an hour with controlling the pumps and flooding and paths and swimming and fans, all of which have absolutely no bearing on the actual puzzle. The sewers after that suck ass too, way too many dead ends.
Plus that candlestick puzzle in the Malkavian mansion was an asspain because I completed it, and a door was unlocked, but I had no clue.
Jsoh is getting real weird bugs where items of previously finished quests are popping up out of nowhere for no reason. I've fallen through the world once, and gotten about 3 crash to desktop errors.
So apparently coding is hard huh. They should've either combed for bugs and released after HL2, or just wait for the HL2 SDK to come out and code around the idea of a giant professional grade total conversion.
On the other hand, I made my ghoul wander around my nice apartment in her underwear, big fat tits bobbling all over, while telling her to beg for a few drops of my blood (WHILE BEATING OFF AND QUICK LOADING MANY TIMES). Plus, by the time I got to the shittier levels of the game, my firearms skill was there to pick up some of the slack.
While playing the game longer exponentially increases the bugs you'll come across, they're still kind of rare. What isn't rare is the constant loading and grinding in my computer. And god help you if you fuck up in a building and your last save is back in a hub. GOD HELP YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
