Playing them on an emulator (SNES era) or the Gameboy Advance remakes (like of 1 and 2, etc.), with use of save states and downloaded walkthroughs from gamefaqs. Then the hardest part of the game becomes finding which gamefaq walkthrough is actually the good one, instead of the messy bullshit one with unnecessary 300K of beastiaries and weapons statistics when most of the weapons and armor in the game are replaced on an hourly basis, and then another 500K of stupid jokes and pointless descriptions and spoilers. Then play the game on your off hours when you're really really bored by simply loading up the save states (skips past the boring menu screen and load selection bullshit that's obsolete in these modern days).
The alternative is to not play them. I liked the FF games back in the day, now the only reason to play them is to remind yourself of 1993. |
