Just saw both this and Napoleon Dynamite.

In addition to all the other great things said about the Life Aquatic, it also renders obsolete stupid fucking Buckaroo Banzai and BOO HOO sniffle Lost in Translation in one fell swoop.

I think the best way to epitomise Napoleoon Dynamite is to point out that there's a Super Macho kung fu dude who wears these ridiculous American Flag pants. Later in the film he expressly mentions his crazy pants in order to draw attention to them.
