| Just as I was planning on buying some upgrades, my whole fawkin' computer DIED on me.
However, I was in need of a new laptop this fall, I may just have to get one that pulls in-class-notetaking (later) and Desktop gaming (now) double duty. Since I only play really fucking old games this should be easy, but I know nothing about current laptop tech. What's with this intel shared memory knavery? Is this anything like the kick-to-the-balls CPU-devouring experience of trying out the integrated video on a desktop Motherboard, or can the computer store guy be trusted when he tells me that integrated video/audio is better on laptops? Any suggestions for most reliable brand (3 years of daily use minimum)? |
