I can't recall a single hotel I've ever stayed at that came with VCR's in the rooms. Maybe some cheap ass motels might. Most places have TV's that don't support such hookups (for videogames too) intentionally so that you'll order their pay per view flicks (or their N64 games that a lot of places have). This has been pretty standard for over a decade.
Last year I stayed in at least a dozen different mid-range major chain hotels. Maybe two or three of these provided a TV that could be connected to a VCR or game console. Most lacked any kind of A/V hookups and had a locking bracket over the coax connector to prevent the use of an RF modulator. Some had tantalizing front panel A/V hookups that couldn't be selected via the remote control or panel buttons.
