| 1. Anyone else having joystick trouble? I can't get my logitech wingman to work. The buttons work fine, it just won't respond to the moving of the stick itself. MAYBE IT DOESN'T SUPPORT PIXEL SHADER 1.4 O_0
2. What the shit happened to the single player? I remember BF1942 giving you like ten million different setting options for single player, now my choices are limited to "rookie, veteran, expert" on a handful of maps locked at 16 players (you and 15 bots). I read that they weren't going to put much thought into single player to make the internet experience better. Fine, but christ why don't I get all the maps? Why MUST i always have 15 bots? I'd rather they just let you play on empty maps. I can't even practice flying because my jackoff bot teammates keep taking off with them (just like human opponents!). The manual says to use the single player to practice with vehicles, only the bots won't let you. Even if I manage to snag a jet I run straight into an enemy jet on the tiny 16 player map and get shot down before I can even practice some maneuvers. The manual reveals the mystery of unlocking requirements! "Fight like hell online to earn medals, ribbons, unlockable wepaons, and other items!" They also added the realistic touch of no one ever following your orders as commander. |
