BUT my gf drives a Jetta TDI and HOLY FUCKING AWESOME mileage 897km on a tank of diesel with me flogging the shit out of it. Just don't try to pass on the freeway without a good head of steam. Here in Canada we don't have freeways, we have the 400 series but I digress. Anyway the main drawback, at least in Ontario is that the demand for Jettas has pushed up the price.
