It's probably not a good idea to use nitrous as a fuel for your car if you haven't upgraded the transmission, not to mention probably several other components.
A coworker of mine discovered this. He's into racing - he claims to disapprove of illegal street racing, but I have a hard time believing that he was going to enter a slightly beefed-up Dodge Viper in legitimate racing competitions. Maybe I'm wrong. Anyway, a couple of weeks ago he got the brilliant idea to use nitrous in his car. Again, his car is a very basic Dodge Viper that he drives to work in and shit. I think the most "work" he's done on the thing was tint the windows and get an electric-blue paint design.
Fast forward to two days ago: he has to sell his four-wheeler in order to cover the $4,000+ cost for car repairs. That probably entailed more than just replacing the now-liquid remains of his transmission, but that was primarily what he was waxing bitter about. He claims that if only he had remembered to upgrade that, he wouldn't have had any problems.
Bottom line: regular car + nitrous = WHAT THE GREAT HOLY CUNTERING FISTFUCK ARE YOU THINKING. |
